Description:Perform assignments of substantial variety and complexity using operational procedures related to the C4I Test Toolkit and the EME toolkit components.
Duties:Receives technical advice from supervisors or development engineers. May be assisted by others within the established programs and projects or in related areas. Working with LANs and WANs, with knowledge in routers, switches, firewalls, servers, bandwidth monitoring tools and radio networks.
Qualifications:

Best candidates should have a technical background with experience in multiple networks, WANs, LANs and wireless capabilities. Should be able to prepare networks to support testing of new software and hardware. Higher level candidates should have between 2 and 5 years experience working with LANs and WANs, with knowledge in routers, switches, firewalls, servers, bandwidth monitoring tools and radio networks. A bonus in the position is tactical radio experience and miltary communications experience. Candidates should be able to learn to operate and gain experience in Microsoft Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows XP (a plus) and have the ability to learn or program with JAVA, XML, and web-based applications. May be required to make field trips and function as member of a team with a variety of field responsibilities. The selectees must be professional, versitile, and be able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing. Should be able to follow instructions in a fast paced environment and be able to take initiative. Should have performed and have some knowledge of the following technical duties: LAN and WAN configuration and administration; computer configuration and operations; trouble-shooting procedures; and be able to review and analyze a variety of EME engineering data. Ability to help conduct tests or experiments requiring selection, adaptation or modification of a wide variety of critical test equipment and test procedures; record, analyze, evaluate and report findings to address issues of significant complexity for preparation of test reports. Work is performed in a variety of environmental conditions.
