| Description: | POSITION SUMMARY: The Network Administrator shall provide support to the Sergeant Majors Academy located on Ft. Bliss. The Network Administrator will maintain the health of the network backbone that supports the thin client environment throughout the classrooms to enable the Academy to host all course material delivered by this institution. |
| Duties: | JOB DUTIES: Responsible for the acquisition, installation, maintenance and usage of the organization's local area network. Manage network performance and maintain network security. Ensure security procedures are implemented and enforced. Install all network software. Evaluate, develop and maintain telecommunications systems. Troubleshoot network problems. Establish and implement network policies, procedures, and standards and ensure their conformance with information systems and organization objectives. Train users on network operation. Report and communicate to a PC support manager or Senior Network Administrator. |
| Qualifications: | MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must have working knowledge on Foundry switches and the software to maintain them. Must be able to troubleshoot the network using the Iron View Network manager software and make immediate corrections to network outages. Must possess industry certifications in A+, Net+, and Security+. |
