| Description: | Field-Sr. Field Engineer (ECMD)
Position requires a person who is highly motivated and can work with minimal daily supervision. As the occasion arises, willing to work holidays, nights, and weekends per test requirements. Person must have functional communication skills and willing to interact, verbally and through written correspondence, with Test Officers, ECMD Test Leads and other companies/customers. Person must be proficient basic computer skills (Windows XP/2000, email, Word). Excel, Access skills are a bonus. Working knowledge of current military communication systems and EPG instrumentation is preferable. Knowledge of RF propagation, modulation techniques and theories are required. Working knowledge of RF testing equipment (i.e.: Spectrum Analyzer, Firebird, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes) are required. Person is required to travel for long periods of time and perform other duties as required.
Complexity of assignments typically requires considerable creativity and judgment to devise approaches to accomplish work, resolve operational problems, and make decisions in situations where standard engineering methods, procedures, and techniques may not be applicable. Completed work is reviewed for compliance with overall project objectives. May supervise or train and be assisted by lower level technicians. Person is expected to follow internal training procedures and update them as required. The candidate must be willing to travel for extended periods of time.

| Qualifications: | Minimum two-five years specialized experience in this field. An Associate’s degree or two years college-level training is required. Should have experience in the following: RF Propagation; EMI / EMC; RF Testing; Interference Assessments; Tactical Radios; & antenna characteristics. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record. Candidate selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must able to obtain an Interim Security clearance within 30 days of employment date. Candidate must also be willing to travel (TDY) extensively. |
